As with all parts of a firearm, the same applies to the silencer: regular cleaning protects against damage and preserves the value of the silencer. After about 50 to a maximum of 200 rounds, you should subject your silencer to thorough cleaning and preservation – ideally with the Fluna Silencer Cleaning Concentrate.

WHY DOES A SILENCER NEED TO BE CLEANED AT ALL?
Silencers have an internal structure of “metal combs” and various “metal nets” and numerous openings / holes for gas flow. A silencer functions best when these surfaces are free of deposits, which are formed by powder smoke and burnt residues with every shot fired. Furthermore, deposits from powder residues are extremely corrosive in combination with moisture and there is a danger that the powder smoke will eat into the metal and cause damage / weakening in the cross-sections. Therefore, make sure that your silencer is cleaned regularly and that it is always dismantled from the gun and dried after use.
WHICH SILENCERS CAN I CLEAN WITH IT?
Tec-Fluna SDR is a cleaner and degreaser for all types of commercially available sport and hunting silencers. Note: To be on the safe side, check the material compatibility before the first use.
WHAT WORK CAN I EXPECT?
The cleaning of the silencer in the solution takes place automatically. Depending on the degree of contamination, plan on half an hour to two hours.
HOW OFTEN DO I HAVE TO USE FLUNA SDR?
Basically, the silencer should be dried after each use and thoroughly cleaned after 200 shots at the latest. The frequency of cleaning depends on the shooting performance and the dirtiness of the ammunition. As a general rule, cleaned silencers have an even better silencing effect. Adhering powder smoke is very aggressive and triggers corrosion in a damp environment, which can severely damage the silencer.
HOW MANY APPLICATIONS IS THE CLEANER SET SUFFICIENT FOR?
The 250 ml concentrate contained in the set is sufficient for two applications. Dilute 125 ml – i.e. half the contents of the bottle – with clean water in a ratio of 1:3 to obtain the optimum cleaning result.
