Preparation for Anti-Fog coating
Fluna Tec cleaning and care products for high-quality optics are perfectly coordinated. After cleaning with the foam cleaner, Fluna Isopropanol optimally prepares the glass surface for coating with the anti-fogging agent. The handy pump bottle enables economical and precise application.
Who hasn’t experienced it: You clean and rub, and yet the glass of your riflescope or binoculars just doesn’t come clean. In use, it fogs up and spoils your enjoyment of sports or hunting. Fluna Tec Isopropanol degreases glass surfaces after cleaning so that the anti-fog coating on the optics can develop its full effect. Observing, sighting, aiming without compromise – easy with the product combination of Fluna Tec.
Why the optics should be degreased
Between cleaning the optics with Fluna Tec’s foam cleaner and the anti-fog treatment, an important intermediate step should not be forgotten: degreasing the glass. Fluna isopropanol is pure alcohol that does not attack the special coating of optics. Only after the complete removal of grease residues is the glass surface prepared for the anti-fog coating. See for yourself and look forward to an absolutely fog-free view.
This is how you prepare your optics perfectly
After carefully cleaning the optics, take the pump bottle, shake it carefully and spray Fluna Isopropanol onto the streak-free, dry surface. Polish the lens with a dry, clean, lint-free cloth and then apply Fluna Anti Fog thinly by spraying. Allow the anti-fogging agent to work for a few minutes and polish the lens with an eyeglass cleaning cloth until an even, streak-free coating is achieved. Then leave the lens to dry for about an hour and check the effect by breathing on the lens.
Important additive for cleaning optics
With Fluna Isopropanol, you can quickly and cost-effectively achieve the best cleaning result for your optics if you value effective anti-fogging. Therefore, the use of isopropanol as an additive product to Fluna Anti Fog is strongly recommended. Especially when using optics for hunting, you will come to know and appreciate the desired effect of the Fluna Tec care combination.

Frequently asked questions about Fluna Isopropanol
IS ONE CLEANER NOT ENOUGH FOR OPTICS CARE?
To prepare the optics in best way, you should degrease the lens after cleaning if you want an anti-fog coating. The anti-fogging effect can only work on a perfectly cleaned and grease-free lens surface. Fluna isopropanol is therefore an important additional product that you should not do without.
DOES THE ALCOHOL ATTACK THE COATING OR PLASTIC HOUSING?
No, you can use Fluna Isopropanol on glass optics without hesitation; surrounding plastic components will not be affected or even damaged. Fluna Isopropanol was developed specifically for use on optical equipment, especially hunting optics.
WITH WHICH PRODUCTS SHOULD ISOPROPANOL BE USED?
Use Fluna TFT Optics Cleaner for cleaning, then Fluna Isopropanol before applying Fluna Anti-Fog. We recommend the Fluna Optics Care Set including microfiber and polishing cloth.
CAN I ALSO USE ISOPROPANOL FOR THE EYEPIECE? IS IMPREGNATION REALLY NECESSARY?
After dust removal and cleaning, you can of course also degrease the eyepiece of your rifle with Fluna isopropanol to completely remove skin grease or fingerprints. This also protects the valuable coating of the eyepiece glass.
CAN I USE ACETONE INSTEAD OF PURE ALCOHOL?
Theoretically yes, but only to clean the glass. Acetone can attack the surrounding materials, so its use should be viewed critically. Pure alcohol, as contained in Fluna Isopropanol, is the best choice in any case.
