IS ONE CLEANER NOT ENOUGH FOR OPTICS CARE?
To prepare the optics in best way, you should degrease the lens after cleaning if you want an anti-fog coating. The anti-fogging effect can only work on a perfectly cleaned and grease-free lens surface. Fluna isopropanol is therefore an important additional product that you should not do without.
DOES THE ALCOHOL ATTACK THE COATING OR PLASTIC HOUSING?
No, you can use Fluna Isopropanol on glass optics without hesitation; surrounding plastic components will not be affected or even damaged. Fluna Isopropanol was developed specifically for use on optical equipment, especially hunting optics.
WITH WHICH PRODUCTS SHOULD ISOPROPANOL BE USED?
Use Fluna TFT Optics Cleaner for cleaning, then Fluna Isopropanol before applying Fluna Anti-Fog. We recommend the Fluna Optics Care Set including microfiber and polishing cloth.
CAN I ALSO USE ISOPROPANOL FOR THE EYEPIECE? IS IMPREGNATION REALLY NECESSARY?
After dust removal and cleaning, you can of course also degrease the eyepiece of your rifle with Fluna isopropanol to completely remove skin grease or fingerprints. This also protects the valuable coating of the eyepiece glass.
CAN I USE ACETONE INSTEAD OF PURE ALCOHOL?
Theoretically yes, but only to clean the glass. Acetone can attack the surrounding materials, so its use should be viewed critically. Pure alcohol, as contained in Fluna Isopropanol, is the best choice in any case.
